Kat Contreras is a Dominican-born photographer living in Los Angeles, California. She is a documentarian and portrait photographer who captures and highlights stories of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Her perspectives in editorial and fashion have been featured in renown publications and galleries. She has been commissioned by Billboard, Afropunk, R29, The Advocate, Time Magazine, Los Angeles Times and Esquire Magazine.
Kat is currently working on a documentary series that explores safe spaces for transgender youth in LGBTQIA+ communities. She is a member of Diversify Photo and Authority Collective and is available for hire.
She also runs a digital media agency that helps small business and startup brands develop their initial presence online.
